What is a Board Certified Chiropractic Internist?
A Chiropractic Internist (DABCI) undergoes extensive post-doctoral training in internal disorders and diagnostic testing. Unlike a traditional chiropractor who focuses primarily on the spine, a DABCI uses blood work, physical exams, and specialized testing to treat the whole body naturally—similar to a General Practitioner, but without the use of drugs or surgery.

Do you take insurance?
We are a self-pay practice. This allows us to provide the most comprehensive care without the restrictions often imposed by insurance companies. However, we do accept Title 19 (Badger Care, Medicaid) and Medicare for spinal manipulations only.

Can I get reimbursed by my insurance?
Yes! Many of our patients successfully submit their own claims. We can provide you with a detailed "superbill" containing the necessary CPT and diagnosis codes for you to submit to your provider.

What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit is about discovery. We will go over your health history in detail and determine which diagnostic tests or lab work are needed to find the root cause of your symptoms.

I don't live in Wisconsin. Can I still see Dr. Berglund?
Absolutely. We offer Virtual Office Visits via phone or video for patients across the country.

How are your lab prices so low?
Because we are a self-pay clinic, we have negotiated significant discounts with national labs. We pass those direct savings on to our patients so that getting the necessary blood work is affordable.

Can you help with thyroid issues if my "numbers are normal"?
Yes. Standard testing often misses sub-clinical issues. We look at the thyroid's function—not just the numbers—to see what is inhibiting it from doing its job correctly.

What do you mean by "adrenal fatigue"?
We view the adrenal glands as your body’s "emergency account." When they are depleted by stress, it affects your blood sugar, blood pressure, and mood. We use natural protocols to "refill" that account and restore your energy.
